Membership Types
Regular Membership
- Licensed chemists; or
- Holders of bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Agricultural Chemistry with 1 year work experience in Chemistry, Biochemistry, and/or Agricultural Chemistry; or
- Holders of graduate (MS and/or PhD) degrees in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Agricultural Chemistry; or
- Holders of graduate (MS and/or PhD) degrees in the allied sciences provided their research and/or related to Chemistry, Biochemistry or Agricultural Chemistry.
- **Those approved for regular membership are given the option to avail of life membership.
Associate Membership
- Licensed chemists; or
- Holders of bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Agricultural Chemistry who have not yet passed the Chemistry licensure examination and with no work experience; or
- Holders of bachelor's degree in the allied sciences with at least 30 units in Chemistry earned with or without work experience but with an interest in the advancement of the chemical sciences in the country; or
- Holders of bachelor's degree in the allied sciences with 15 units of Chemistry courses and with two years of work experience in a chemistry-related field.
An associate member can upgrade to regular membership with option to life membership provided that:
- He or she meets the requirements for regular membership
- The application for upgrade in membership is endorsed by a regular member in good standing;
- The Board approves his or her application for upgrading of membership upon the recommendation of the Membership Committee; and
- He or she is attending the annual convention for two (2) consecutive years.
